When new elements are introduced or conditions change, the system dynamically adjusts, shifting reactions until a new equilibrium is reached. Visiting Katie and Steven for their unofficial housewarming felt like observing a new chemical system – their partnership – finding its unique equilibrium, incorporating elements from their families of origin while establishing its own stable, dynamic balance.
